Nike has unveiled a standout colorway for Kobe‘s tenth signature shoe, dubbed “Blackout.” Featuring a predominantly Persian Violet seamless textile upper with hits of black at the tongue, heel, swoosh logo and laces, the design is an ominous rendition of the Black Mamba’s latest performance silhouette. The upper rests atop a purple hybrid cushioning sole unit and a Volt Zoom Air unit at the heel, which offers up great support and traction when on the court. Interestingly, this iteration is inspired by Kobe’s dedication and commitment to working out until he “blacks out.” The Nike Kobe X “Blackout” is set to launch Saturday, February 21 over at Nike’s online store for $180 USD.
