This past Sunday, DC helped honor the skateboard legend at the Coleman Oval/LES Skatepark in NYC with the celebration of the 9th annual Harold Hunter Day (dubbed HH Day IX by the Harold Hunter Foundation). Formed in 2007, the Foundation is a community-based organization committed to providing inner-city youth with “support, opportunity, and advocacy,” to help them reach their full potentials through skateboarding. The New York skate community came together, joined by the likes of Wes Kremer, Evan Smith, Cyril Jackson, and Tristan Funkhouser, to help celebrate the occasion. Kartell Bourgie x Pharrell Williams Lamp
Very much the man of the moment Pharrell Williams has teamed up with Italian design firm Kartell to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ferruccio Laviani-designed Bourgie Lamp. Williams rendition of the iconic piece is inspired by mankind’s journey to enlightenment featuring an outstretched arm below a translucent, graphic-covered shade. The lamp is available now from Kartell’s Green Street showroom in New York City along with a handful of other impressive renditions.
