The Houses Awards celebrates Australia’s best residential projects in eight categories. Now in its fourth year, the program has become one of the country’s most popular and widely recognized of its kind, with 261 houses submitted in 2014 – a new record for entries.
A total of 120 projects have been shortlisted from the entries for 2014. In announcing the shortlisted projects, the jury applauded the wide spectrum of design principles and approaches that were applied to both new and refurbished properties. Katelin Butler, editor of Houses magazine, says, “Once again, the jurors were impressed with the variety and calibre of entries in the Houses Awards – a testament to the standard of work being produced across Australia.”
