World renown sushi chef Jiro Ono from award-winning film Jiro Dreams of Sushi has certainly spent his fair share of time under the spotlight. This time around, his apprentice chef Daisuke Nakazawa, of his restaurant Sushi Nakazawa located in West Village, displays an almost equally high level of detail that goes into his sushi while chatting with Eater. The video showcases his sushi crafting skills by serving a hybrid style of traditional Edomae and “New York mae.” Some of his dishes are so fresh, the food is literally still alive seconds before being served. Nike Lunar Force 1 Sneakerboot “Barkroot”
Initially seen in Nike‘s official press release back at the beginning of the month, we now present a closer look at the Nike Lunar Force 1 Sneakerboot “Barkroot.” Although the iconic silhouette appears virtually untouched, this hybrid footwear creation features a bevy of winterized upgrades. For starters, its premium leather upper sports contrasting nubuck panels around its ankle, a larger heel tab, reinforced eyelets, a mesh tongue and a seamless toe box. All of the above rests atop a comfortable Lunar midsole with a rugged, gum-colored outsole for superior traction. The “Barkroot” edition is currently available at select retailers, including Premier for $155 USD.
