nonnative 2016 Spring/Summer “GROUND CONTROL” Lookbook

nonnative has unveiled a spring/summer collection inspired by a trip to Texas. With cities like Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth and Houston included in the visit, the set expectedly channels strong western aesthetics. The set features an extended denim selection that draws design cues from “western shirt” detailing, such as arched yoke seams and pearl dot snap buttons that are also visible in many of the outerwear and shirting pieces. Continuing its use of technical fabrics of previous seasons, “GROUND CONTROL” utilizes materials such as Gore-Tex to construct garments atypical to outerwear. Standout accessories in the set include an ultra light Cordura nylon ripstop bag, collaborative footwear with Officine Creative and Island Slipper, and handcrafted accessories from Japanese silversmiths END.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Volt”

Nike is set to release the newest edition of the venerable Foamposite Pro in this Volt colorway. The sneaker sees itself bathed in bright and intense Volt green, matched to a semi-translucent outsole that happily extends the theme. Black accents around the midsole, back heel, and along the tongue give the bold colorway a welcomed point of visual contrast. Yet even with the subtle accents, the overall shoe can only be described as an unbridled celebration of bold and audacity. Be sure to check out the sneaker when it drops on December 24 for $230 USD at select Nike retailers, including Packer Shoes.
