Master P Announces Biographical Film ‘Ice Cream Man: King of the South’

Master P, one of the most successful rappers and entrepreneurs in hip-hop history, is coming out with his own biopic movie. Ice Cream Man: King of the South, which aptly hints at his fifth studio album (1996) and hit song of the same name, will be exploring the Hoody-Hooo singer’s illustrious career by following a young Percy Miller from the streets of the Calliope Projects in the 3rd Ward of New Orleans to his early days with hip-hop group TRU (The Real Untouchables), before he became a multi-platinum rapper with his own label No Limit Records and accumulating a present-day net worth of $350 million USD. The R-rated film will be directed and co-written by Mr. Ice Cream Man himself and produced by No Limit Forever Films, Master P’s independent record label company. This isn’t the first time for Master P to lend his hand in the film industry; the rapper also directed and starred in I’m Bout It (1997) and MP Da Last Don (1998). Ice Cream Man: King of the South is expected to hit theaters sometime spring 2016.
