Tributes to the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 95 continue to roll in, and Nike has set up a special campaign that engages fans of the iconic Sergio Lozano-designed sneaker.
“Find the hotline in the Nike SNKRS app. Make #airmax history your own,” announced Nike Sportswear recently. The number has since been exposed as 503-765-7792, a number which holds the Beaverton, Oregon area code where Nike’s headquarters resides. We called the hotline only to be met with an automated voice message of “this line may be currently out of service but keep checking the Nike SNKRS app for more on the Air Max 95 and the anatomy of Air,” while others have reported being greeted with a brief history of the Air Max 95 before being instructed to leave their personal details. The stunt is nothing new from Nike — earlier this year the footwear giant hosted a similar campaign which sent callers exclusive packages of the Air Max 95’s design blueprints.
