Audi‘s latest unveiling is the upgraded midsize A4 model. Now in its fifth-generation, the answer to BMW’s 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class has been reworked with sharper lines and a larger body, but more importantly is a whopping 264 pounds lighter than its 2015 predecessor thanks to the use of extra aluminum around the exterior. The German carmaker has also outfitted the interior with its new and improved MMI® control concept, a virtual cockpit featuring a 12.3-inch LCD screen, Bang & Olufsen 3D soundsystem, in addition to arguably the most important feature – Audi smartphone interface, which integrates iOS and Android mobile devices into the MMI® system. Ranging between 150 and 272-horsepower, the 2016 Audi A4 will hit Germany in the fall, with a U.S. release set to be announced later on in the year.
