This March, Slam City Skates is leaving its iconic Neal’s Yard location in London after 27 years. The skate institution announced this week:
It is with sadness but also excitement that we bring you this announcement. Our Neal’s Yard store will be closing at the end of March… 16 Neal’s Yard was good to us and to you too we hope. I’m sure we will find more time and space to reminisce on just how important this place has been.
Slam City will re-open on Endell Street, two doors down from the Cross Keys pub, meaning the store will remain in Covent Garden, but will be endowed with a much larger space for retail and events. For more on the move and a nostalgic look back at the past 27 years, head on over to Slam’s site.
