Erik Brunetti Discusses the Origins of FUCT and Today’s Streetwear Culture

One of the founding street and skatewear brands in Los Angeles, Erik Brunetti‘s FUCT has long been known for its rebellious and take-no-prisoners approach to designing graphic tees and street garments. The FUCT art show and book signing at the recent Slam Jam Milano event saw Brunetti talk about his views on the current streetwear scene in Los Angeles, where the younger generation have saturated the scene with graphic tees. In contrast to the blandness of today’s brands, Brunetti attributes FUCT’s longevity and continued relevance to its pioneering approach in the early days of streetwear with provocative graphics and re-appropriation of prominent cultural symbols.
