There’s a kind of underlying drumroll to Fashion Week events in New York, as pundits eagerly anticipate the latest from their favorite labels. Fitting that said anticipation would find En Noir – starlets of our sixth HYPEBEAST Magazine – launching their Spring/Summer 2015 collection on the final day. Around this time last year, chief designer Rob Garcia would be nickel-rich for the term “monochromatic minimalism,” but walking behind the curtains of this year’s show – that motif seems somewhat left in the rearview, or at least far evolved. Here we take a look behind-the-scenes of En Noir’s aesthetic-shifting presentation this season, putting En Noir’s new, adventurous, and admittedly strong direction in the spotlight.
