Google Introduces Project Wing: A Self-Flying Delivery Service

Building on the innovations of its self-driving car introduced a while back, Google has taken the lid off of its next autonomous transportation project. Google[x] (the tech giant’s secret engineering division) took to Queensland, Australia to test “Project Wing,” a series of flying drones chiefly focused on delivery. As it stands, the potential for “Project Wing” in the mass consumer market seems limitless, especially given the prominence of online shopping from local outlets. Google[x] is currently developing ways of bringing Project Wing to the public, and anticipates that the endeavor will be ready in the next few years. For now, enjoy a glimpse into the future with the above video.
