Kidult Vandalizes A.P.C. Paris Store With N-Word

Graffiti artist Kidult is making sure that people don’t forget Jean Touitou‘s recent racism controversy. He tagged the storefront of A.P.C.’s 112 Rue Vieille du Temple location with the word “Ni**as,” in reference to Touitou’s controversial and eventually cancelled “Last Ni**as in Paris” collection, and the Timberland collaboration. On the side of the store, Kidult also spray painted a definition of the word: “Latin adj. ‘niger’; Contemptuous, offensive, and racism for a black person.” This certainly isn’t the first time the mysterious artist has vandalized a storefront, having previously tagged up famous boutiques all over the world including colette in Paris and Supreme in New York. A.P.C. has yet to make a statement about the incident. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
